This abstract painting is a mixed media work mainly made of acrylic which also has layers of gel gloss and gel stucco mixed with the paint while some areas consist of sand, gel and acrylic mixed together. I have added gel stucco recently to give a further dimension to the pink and purple colored section near the top and left side. The yellow is mixed with gold paint to give it more texture and warmth. A last version will be coming out soon and that should be close the final version. I used a lot of gel gloss and gel stucco with a palette knife to apply colors and gel mixed with acrylic. Most of the colors were applied with a palette knife and some brush strokes were also used. The piece was inspired by a palette knife application style I have seen of Toronto artist called Kate Taylor in which uses multiple colors and a a palette to apply the paint.
