The unknown soldier skelly in this scene represents stillness. When I painted this piece, I had no political motivation. As is often the case, this skelly was an emotion that came to me in visual form. Sometimes my children don't have words, but they need to express themselves. I don't want to impose my feelings on the viewer. I want each person to decide what the stillness means to them. © Misty Benson of Morbidly Adorable Creations. All Rights Reserved.
