Artist Reply: John hello.. Glad you enjoyed this piece. Different time of my life, many things changed since including my work, I guess. It's wonderful to remember.. And it made me think perhaps I should look again for the original photos of it, and post it in bigger scale. I hope that things are well with you and you are safe in your privacy. Surely you are creative, I'm sure of it. Thanks you for remembering me, dear friend.
Nira, this is so beautiful!.. Did you hand paint this? and that was me on the roses..I was wondering how you complete this process? do you paint on the silk as you would on a paper? However it is done, they are beautiful...
Artist Reply: Yes, Charlotte..it is painted directly on SILK...First in such work,i will do a sketch on paper, that i will copy to Silk...the sketch..actually is only with pencil- a lay out of the work. And then the Silk is stretched and hooked into a wooden frame...after copying from paper to silk...i can paint on silk.- This is the process...sometimes..i work freely directly immidiately to Silk, without NO SKETCHES,At all. Thanks for your comments...how are you there ?...Have a wonderful weekend,Nira
