These are in my garden, one group in front and one in back. I love them because in the front of the house, we are on a hill, people can see them easily from the street
Ginger ,Many of our plants have come from exotic Countries ,introduced to us,in Horticultural Experimental stations ,as per soil conditions, water & heat required,& it's a wonder if you look around why even some of those are able to survive, out here in Western Canada it's amazing what exotic plants have survived, that we have enjoyed also trees, shrubs,,& Fruit trees all growing in ALPINE weather conditions, they out there are always experimenting,,,look at Hybrids,,,look at the hundreds of varieties of Geraniums now,it's mind bending ,at one time I could identify the 4 varieties but now ,just like the Daisy Family ,Ginger, the list goes on,each year they introduce more & more.example,,,,the Hibiscus.,incredible as to where it will grow..,so many examples.
Artist Reply: WOW, Interesting information Al, Thank you! i enjoyed reading it.
WOW!!!!! Beautiful addition to your garden. What a feature.
Artist Reply: Hi Kevin, thank you for your comment. I was surprised last year when they came back up from 20 degree weather, I just left in the huge root. I understand that you can dig up and pot them during winter and they will grow inside or just place the root in a bag and place in garage for winter, then plant outside again! If you want one let me know. They have a lot in the Spring!
