Artist Reply: Thank you Olga for your comment. The process I use to get this effect starts with laying out a grid so I can space out the dots evenly across he canvas. Then I take an eye dropper and fill it with paint. By looking at a photo of what I want to paint I drip the sized dot that would best represent the original photo when seeing the painting from far away.
