This piece is about lifting up during the dark times. I have gone through my share of troubles, and those troubles are represented by the hands, distorting and harming. I made these in cool colors, or colors you would picture with bruises and dead things, so that they seem impersonal and harmful. I made the one hand lifting the chin, saying just to keep your head held high.
