Eclipse

I created the eclipse myself in Photoshop using layer styles, fills and the elliptical marquee tool so it started life as a plain black canvas and I took it from there. I then downloaded from the excellent nasaimages site a free picture - providing not used for commercial gain i think - of the earth. Just the standard bright blue one that we see a lot. Then I added shadow and atmosphere to it. Finally, I created the stars using a small white brush with varying sizes and opacity then I filled the layer with an inner glow to get them to shine a bit. Mostly created from nothing therefore - apart from the Earth itself. Isn't Photoshop great?
