Bee swarm

This is a first for me. This Large swarm of honey bees gathered on one of my rose of sharon standards. An impressive sight. Has to measure 12"-14" wide by 15"-20" long hanging off the branches it waves in the breeze like jello, bee clinging to bee. Amazing.

yes they are indeed so very interesting I have seen this once on a tree and one time driving a school bus not as impressive in the school bus kind of frighting look like a big bolder coming at me must say scared the bigeebies out of me. but when I seen them on the tree like that it was so very cool nice capture of a wonder of nature and if I am not mistaken the female queen is in the middle of that they are looking for a new home

Artist Reply: I had hoped to be able to cath the swarm when it left, but no such luck, but gald it was here for about thre days.
