Mystery of the Nautilus

Those of you who know me, know that I am obsessed with nautilus shells! Maybe it's the stark beauty of the vibrant exteriour and luminous iridescent interior - or maybe it is the logical "golden spiral" formation of grown pattern it follows - but at any rate it has captivated me and is a recurring theme in many of my paintings. There is a mystery here! This Rococo beauty sits upon a delicate sofa, cradling the beautiful, mysterious shells..... This is my own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*
