"A favorite theme of mine is the waves at the jetty at Westport, Washington. The uniqueness of the setting creates large dramatic swells, rolling and breaking. A surfer's (and artist's) dream."

Artist Comments: "What a joy it is to be at the edge of the sea and watch big rollers cresting and breaking. In this large painting, I focused on the force and power of a moment when the wave action is at its’ most dramatic. I positioned the sun high on the left to create strong shadows and a brilliant sparkle on the top edge of the swell. A secondary wave in the foreground balances the composition.”

Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board.
