Every other Tuesday is my "chemo day". This port is permanently a part of me but my pretty nurses thought it was infected and maybe leaking so I got my chem cocktails in my hand instead. Notice please, I still have my mustache!! they say if it is still with me next week then I may be able to keep it! true for 1 in 30.also, amazing to them is I have had no nausia and I have gained 8 pounds!!! unheard of in chemo! probably the result of candy instead of cigarettes! I am doing fine!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Anneke, and it was you first who inspired me! I will do this metal job I am on and get back happily to painting! I actually have a COMMISION piece to do, about 5' x 3' with the only rule being RED! That is MY kind of painting! My 1st sale! and I am excited about it!

It is so great to see that big grin and wonderfully healthy mustache! I know the port is necessary, but with no nausea, and candy instead of cigarettes... I think you are doing top notch!

Artist Reply: Julie, thank you so much for the encouragement!

I can't look very long and am very queasy and may barf on my keyboard..I'm wondering are there any creatures nesting in that mustache?

Artist Reply: Annette, I would even tell YOU what is in my mustache! I have had it since I was 17 years old, through the 60's and god knows what!
