absolutely SMASHING to see LIFE!
(Unfortunately a picture can never show how it looks in reality)
I added cheese cloth, scraps of archival
matte paper, sheet music
and many (very thin) layers of gloss
medium & varnish (which is
still workable after it dries).
These layers softened the plies of the
cheese cloth.
Each piece has a small piece of music
showing “Prelude” of a
vintage sheet music of BACH.
(Hover over it and you'll find it left
middle.)
Each little Gem has a metal, yet a very
soft look.
This triptych was part of my solo show “MY GEMS” at the Academy of Lifelong Learning (University of Delaware) where I teach art.
