Navajo Woman

This portrait of a Navajo woman was done with permission from a photograph by ArtWanted member, James Carney. The painting measures 20" x 16" and is in oil on wood. I lived at one time in Scottsdale, Arizona and enjoyed shopping for authentic Navajo jewelry especially if I could buy it directly from the artisans. When I saw the photograph on James' website, I knew I had to paint her!
