Benjamin in his 1934 toy Zarkoffritz-Klurdal V5

Zarkofrizt-Klurdal was a small auto manufacturer in Besancon France who produced custom race vehicles and one family sedan. Jahn Zarkofritz developed the ingenious mono spring suspension and fabulous V5 engine, while Lodd Klurdal created beautiful bodies and oversaw that production was of the utmost quality. Sadly, the last Zarkofritz-Klurdal went to the crusher accidentally when the only remaining descendant, Emile Klurdal had his barn in Switzerland cleaned out due to unpaid taxes. The decades of accumulated objects, all of them precious, of course, hid the presence of the last Zarkofritz-Klurdal. No one noticed the now dust covered car for what it was, and into the big bins it went! The only Zarkofrtiz-Klurdals are now only memories.

Intriguing story. Could be a good children's book about the value or historic significance of antique objects, inventions, innovations and the people that created them. I look forward to the next story- RS

Artist Reply: Can't imagine a finer comment ! I do think there is fun here ! The search goes on for that elusive Zarkofritz-Klurdal sedan.
