Steampunk Pirates: Maritime Sunset

Another piece I did for Dragon*Con 2009 where I sold the original - the first in my "Steampunk Pirates" series, here we have "Maritime Sunset". This painting is wicked cool and I had way too much fun painting it! A large ocean/nautical scene with heavy steampunk imagery - a beautiful girl in her Pirate finery stands getting ready to board a ship resembling a clockwork LionFish against a sepia toned seascape sunset. In the distance, some of you may notice my Anglerfish Submarine emerging - not sure if they're friends with the pirates or the defenders. Also there is an airship in the sky - couldn't help myself! My own original acrylic painting. ©Jasmine Becket-Griffith - prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*
