Runaway on I-70

How'd you like to fly up that in a big rig. In case you've never seen one, these are ramps made of sand (this one covered in snow) that are along the highways where the grade is steep and semi trucks brakes go out. We saw one smoking heavily with the strong brake smell. You can see the tire indentations where one had used this one.

YES, NANCY, A LONG TIME AGO THEY WERE HERE IN ARKANSAS, AND I SEE THAT THOSE ARE NOT IN USING ORDER ANY MORE. SO I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE THE TRUCKS DO NOT NEED THEM ANY MORE. THAT THE BRAKES ARE MUCH MORE SUPERIOR NOW. HMMMMMMMMMM THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

Artist Reply: I got lucky snappin these in the car going 60 mph. They've always fascinated me though.

Nice, cold, photo, Nancy! We have these in the mountains here in Oregon too!

Artist Reply: not to be morbid, but I've always wanted to see a truck have to use one.
