The Holy Fountain Of Anarion

of dear...my abiding memory of this picture will be the coloring of the cobbles of the wall in the background XD ...I've been avoiding this picture for years now cause I just couldn't get myself to color the background...well, when I found it somewhere in the stash of unfinished works (almost reaches the ceiling) I thought it's now or never! I already had some difficulties coping with my own lineart...the bark of the tree and the pleats in the dress were kinda awkward to color, I wasn't too happy with the look of the elf with the auburn hair and her little daughter (I colored those two years ago :O_o: ) and overall...I felt that my style had changed and wouldn't quite fit the old outlines. but I tried to make the best of it. I guess I can live with the result...and I finally got that stupid unfinished lineart of my mind. concerning the elves in the pic: they are once again belonging to some little unfinished story of mine which is more or less a sequel to Nyáre Telemnírion. they're the same as in an earlier pic of mine called "Pavillon" the one with the long blond hair and the light blue dress is the high priestess Ilmarién pouring the water from the holy fountain of Anárion (symbolized by the golden tree), the one with the dark blue dress is Undômerel who brought along her little daughter Fanyarel, so she might learn about the holy rites of her people oh, and there's a tokeh gecko hidden in the picture ^^ have fun finding it ;)
