With his newest sculpture „Good Repairs“ Willi Bambach shows that this power can be even be expanded into the world of things. In contrast to the zeitgeist-mentality of take-away-consumption in the lower part of his artwork we see a videorecorder and the picture of a toilet-flush that belonged/still belongs to his household and – after they got broken – had been repaired with love which - in the end – means devoting time e.g. to find uncommon solutions. In the upper part we see his face looking down reflecting. The face is dominated by an outbursting brain with two protuberances that connect the left and right brain-hemisphere: both being a metaphor for the need to put extraordinairy effort into a problem in order to be able to find the aforementioned uncommon solutions and reminding us of the way children totally get absorbed into another one when concentrating, playing ...with love. Liebe ist eine universelle Macht. Mit seiner neuesten Skulptur „Good Repairs“ zeigt Willi Bambach, dass diese Macht auch auf die Welt der Dinge ausgedehnt werden kann. Die Zeitgeist-Mentalität von „Ex-Und-Hopp“ kontrakarierend, wird im unteren Teil der Arbeit ein Videorekorder sowie eine Toilettenspülung gezeigt: Beides Gegenstände, welche zu seinem Haushalt gehörten/gehören und die, nachdem sie kaputt gingen, mit Liebe repariert wurden – mit Liebe repariert, was letztendlich gleichbedeutend ist mit großem Zeitaufwand, um eine ungewöhnliche Lösung für ein Problem zu finden. Im oberen Teil sehen wir sein Gesicht, welches reflektierend nach unten auf diese Reparaturen schaut. Das Gesicht wird von einem überbordenden Gehirn dominiert, welches zwei Auswüchse besitzt, die linke und rechte Gehirnhälfte verbinden: Beides sind in der Bildsprache von Willi Bambach Metaphern für die Notwendigkeit, außergewöhnliche Anstrengungen zu leisten, um die bereits oben genannten ungewöhnlichen Lösungen finden zu können ... eine Art von Anstrengung, welche wir auch bei Kindern beim Spielen beobachten können, wenn sie quasi wie in eine andere Welt versunken erscheinen, sich konzentrierend und spielend ...mit Liebe.
