(c) 2009 Elton Houck, "BIRD WATCHING" ....Stealthily I crept forward..he was there in the clearing...just a few more feet closer and he would be mine..I could take the shot if I could take just two more steps without alarming the prey...slowly I turned...I inched forward, ready to take the shot before he could take flight. I held my camera in shaking hands...I just knew he would sense my presence and take to the air..I held my breath and inched closer. Now my target was in range! I sighted in the prey and fired..the zoom lens zeroed in on him ..he was mine!!! No escape this time...I pushed hard on the button and zap..I had him..I captured his soul in my black box..Now he would be mine forever! He immediately took to the skies then, but it was too late for him. .I had his image there before me--NOW HE IS MINE FOREVER -----.cute little fellow he is TOO..I AM REALY GLAD I SHOT HIM!.
