Boot Zoo

OK...I know in my heart that each of these animals lived long and productive lives having donated their skins to fashion. From left to right: Cow, Ostrich, Crocodile, Snake, Snake and Lizard.

This is an AWESOME photo. I love the composition of this. The angles and the graduated color makes this visually STUNNING. 10+

This really works for me because of the colors and textures. Very creative shot. You picked the perfect angle and handled the lighting very well. Nicely done.

O MY, ROBERT. ARE YOU ALLOWED TO USE THESE ANIMAL HIDES FOR BOOTS IN AUSTRALIA? THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL, BUT I HATE TO THINK THAT ANIMALS ARE FARMED FOR THEIR SKINS. YOUR TONGUE-IN-CHEEK "long and productive lives" SAYS IT ALL. YOUR IMAGE IS AN ENIGMA OF BEAUTY AND PAIN.

Artist Reply: Heya Emily, yes we do have very strict regulations with the regards to the importing of exotic skins and their by - products through our customs regulations, most of my boots come from the US so they go through all the checks. If they were endangered I'm sure there would be an issue. And I'm not keen to deplete a species that is in decline. Shhh...the croc ones are not real croc skins..they are a print :) Rob
