Guinea Hens

Guinea hens pick for bugs to eat all day and make your land bug free. You can walk anywhere on the grass and not one bug will bite you, and they all bite me if they are there. Had these guinea hens in Ozark on 4 acres and no bugs and here at Eagle Crest Golf community, I get bitten just walking in the yard. I love their white clown faces. Hope you enjoy!

When I was growing up here in Tampa, there were many of these running free at Lowry Park Zoo.I even tried some of their eggs, they were delicious! I miss those days. Great shot Sharon! Is that true about the bugs? how cool is that?

Yes, they are great for bugs, even though they are not very pretty to look at, except for their "Polka Dot" feathers. They remind me of Volkswagon beetles.

That is really a great shot Sharon. I hate to say it but these birds are pug ugly in the face but they have such wonderful coloration from the red on the top to the orange of their toes. You have captured the beauty with this shot.
