South Carolina Pines

this has been listed under the category of watercolor, it is actually watercolor, with dip pen and india ink. I am exploring the possibilities of watercolor. It is so much more disciplined compared to the acrylics I am used to painting in. Subjects need to be planned out, layers of color considered before using, etc., It is certainly the first time I have had to execute discipline in my artwork but it seems to me to be very satisfying. I don't know,, maybe I'm getting old in my old age.. hahahaha. I enjoy looking forward to the next phase of the painting, I enjoy watching it evolve into what my minds eye wants to see in reality. All in all I am loving it. this painting is matted as you can see in a forest green but there is another mat that goes over this one in a raw sienna and it will then be framed. at this time it measures about 16 inches high by 7.5 inches wide including the mat that is visible. I'll change up the image when it's all done being framed. It is not for sale.. it will remain in the collection of the artist. Thank you for your comments and criticisms.. they';re always taken into consideration especially when i delve into a new medium. ! Keep creating,, keep imagining..
