The old man and the sea

© 2009 Armando Salas Jr. --- My son Armando is my Guest Artist for today. He took this shot at Sardinero Beach (Santander-Spain) on a misty day two years ago and I got inspiration from Ernest Hemingway for the title.

Fantastic shot, Armando Jr.!! The title is perfect, Armando, like your son's capture!...

Your son has a good eye for composition. If he saw the possibilities in this shot before he snapped the shutter, he's on the road to being an excellent photographer. This shot opens itself to a great deal of meditation, especially for those of us with gray hair. Nicely done Armando.

Your son took a wonderful shot Armando!

Artist Reply: Hi, Warren. Thank you very much. My son has better photos but I found this one can tell a story we all know. Armando Jr. was studying economics but didn't like it. Then he decided to study image and sound (his passions). Nowadays he's a very qualified technician and, best of all, he enjoys his work.
