Acrylic finished with gloss varnish on canvas board, 12" x 16. Original is in my private collection.

This sent shivers up my spine when I first sketched this. It is inspired by the work of the old masters.

Immediately I knew what this painting was all about and what the Lord desired to convey as it is just as important a message as is His great love. *Luke 13:24-27* Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able.

But when the master of the house shall be gone in, and shall shut the door, you shall begin to stand without, and knock at the door, saying: Lord, open to us. And he answering, shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are.

Then you shall begin to say: we have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

And he shall say to you: I know you not, whence you are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

This work is so beyond excellent, Tahnja. They have not made words yet to describe this. It is Holy and a very sacred work. It touches the soul of all that look upon it. I've done portraits of Christ and they all stir you up in some way.

Everything is impressive on this painting. The wonderful face and clothes, the light on it and the great background. The description says it all. Your inspiration is tangible. You are blessed, Tahnja!
