This painting's based on 2 photos I took at the North Conway, NH rail museum. The Maine Central 2-8-0 No. 501 locomotive was being rebuilt and was all in primer red paint. The snowplow nearby was in poor condition. The scene and location are completely fabricated, but I wanted to capture the ambient light that might occur late in the day with a sunset and reflections on snow.

Gary, Most excellent art piece and your style and technique is so different than most. From what I see I would mark up the price much more than what you are asking. This is by no doubt a very well done painting and I know by looking at it you spent a lot of time at the easel with your brushes and paints.
