i'm a real fan of painting on stone, and I think that this painting draws out a good deal that is already present in the stone itself, rather than forcing a concept on an unwilling part of nature. Everything, including the highlights in the eyes, look like they were just meant to be there.

Artist Reply: Thank you Thomas, for that is JUST what I always hope for when working with stones! I try to see what's there and then show it to others. The stones are very special to me and it's good to know others feel my brush does them justice.
