My Favorite Mule

©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. 03/20/09. This is one of my favorite themes. Inspired by the hard working Southern USA farmer of bygone days battling the hard dried soil with only his mule and plow. Truly back breaking work…just to feed his family and survive. A noble deed indeed This is a marker drawing I ran through Photoshop to get the effects in the background. A DigyMix™ work.

yes,how things have changed,I always think of how the small time farmers are all but gone for feed lots and mega businesses,i think we would be better off with simpler times.

Artist Reply: I agree Ruth. In some parts of the Deep South you can still find this scene.

You have wonderful loose style with the medium, Seth. Such a nice picture, funny that they use donkeys over there with you, here they were horses.

Artist Reply: Always appreciated dear Anneke. The bigger farms all have tractors just the small ones might use a mule to plow today.
