This is a digital collage Self Portrait I created for the AW Self Portrait contest. This was a fun piece to do. The image is of me as my alter ego, "Lucretia from the Old Country"---- Artist, Gypsy, Fortune Teller & Cat Lover. Behind me in the niche or nicho is a mixed media image of St. Lucia, Patron Saint of Eye Ailments. I liked including an image of a saint since I have been painting & doing collage images of saints for over 20 years now. I also feel St. Lucia is especially appropriate for me as an artist, since our eyes are an important component in creating and enjoying art. Thank you very much for looking! Franzartcopyright.
