Excellent shot! You made this burial place seem inviting. Congrats!

Artist Reply: I remember feeling that good spirits were present in this place and felt at ease. This graveyard is off the beaten path, so the peace and quiet is heavenly. Thanks for your comment.

Forgive me if I had a chuckle.... the name of your photo kind of tickeled me.... good shot my friend :)

Artist Reply: A chuckle is perfectly alright. I certainly respect those who've gone before us, but I'm always of the opinion that they enjoyed a good sense of humor, too. Thank you very much for visiting and making a comment. I appreciate your feedback.

Love this one, Mike...I have a thing for pictures of gravestones too...looking at and shooting.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much for your comment, Regina. There's certainly something about the old headstones—perhaps the imprecise carvings being worn away by the elements, or the eerie silence of an ancient burial ground—that make us pause and reflect. I always think of the end of James Joyce's story, "The Dead," whenever I'm in an old cemetery.
