Artist Reply: Debbie, The wood is only 1/8" thick so that it can be framed under glass. The time it took to develop the pattern and cut it in wood was about 90 hours. Some of my projects take up to 200 hrs from start to finish. The hard part is keeping the wood together and not having a piece break out. Thanks so much for your comments Mike Williams
