Blue Pitcher and apples

11" x 14" This was done today with the group at our art center that meets every 1st Saturday of each month

OH! This is LOVELY! I know still life is not for everyone, but I think you did a fabulous job. I love how you got the transparency of the jug. The apples look good enough to eat. The stylized folds of the drapery work very well. The whole piece, colours, movement, composition is fabulous.

the shape of the apples is very good, the texture too, also the texture of the vase. I'm not found about the composition in general, not tension. The sheet / drape(?) is too much drapy, much too much foulding and the vase is it's shape is not interessing al all. I would'nt het chosen it. Good pastel though. sorry it sais 'comments'her, not 'compliments'

Artist Reply: Thank you Mieke for the comment...I must agree with you about the drape...it was too busy...but I was in a group of artists doing this set up. So I just painted what I saw...just an exercise.
