Dear Anneke, Have I told you lately that I love. . . all that you do. Just to mention a few: your much and many talents, so often used to benefit othes (as here) or vital causes; your creative, generous and unselfish giving, and especilly your loving and thoghtful kindness. No one could know you without loving you. I believe I am coming to know you more, and "more better," through your painting and comments. Thank you for your example that has led me to begin donating and adding to my meager painting income for charities of the buyer's choice or to my own favorite, change.org. Now, have I been comment in on this painting above? I think yes, sort of sideways. But more specifically, now, I easily feel tht I kow a lot about these obviously loved intimate friends of the painter. The dual portraits present their inner happiness with each other and their projection of it to the person(s) they are looking toward, and I receive the feeling that I could be very comfortable around them and getting acquainted with them -- not something easy for me, but rather often shy away from. So here, then, Anneke has undertaken and achieved the difficult task of presenting the outside characteristics of the two beautiful, and congenial, and happy people, through their expressions of their beautiful inner beings. Certainly, few people reading what I'm saying here will disagree -- I'm willing to bet on that, and big time (my winnings going to charity, of course). Further, that these two lovely and loving people are Anneke's best friends also increases, if possible, our knowledge of her through her action, in choosing to paint them as well as in giving the completed painting to them! How blessed the three of them are by having such a friendship; how blessed we all in having such a kind and talented friend among us! I would like to know her (better).

Your great efforts to make this world a better place show your empathy and love for all God's creation. By doing so you inspire others to do the same, you really make a difference! And to it comes your truly kind nature of course! So, dear Bruce, I regard you as my best friend too, it's an honour and great joy to know you!
