To the visitor: Dear Visitor, It is a co-incidence that of all artists and uncountable art galleries on internet you finally found me. The reason I highlight the “co-incidence” is that now through my artwork you and I among 6 billion people in the world have just passed by each other like planets do in space. There are people who spend their entire lives in one place when there is so much to explore, deep in the sea, high in the mountains, the sky, the space, beyond oceans on foreign lands. There are people who fight each other all life long, do they even realize that there are so many other people on this earth. Other people exist in real time as they do, people with whom they have never exchanged a word. Now in this age, it is so easy to reach someone. What is stopping us? If we dare, take a little risk, go forward, smile and wave a hand to yet a stranger.. would you it be strange? No. At present we are behind the opposite sides of a mirror..suddenly the mirror becomes transparent and we can see each other. It’s that magical. Today the mirror is the monitor. I would really appreciate if you reached out and wrote to me about this art work. They say artists are in their own world, very much so, just remind me that you exist in this world of mine too.. Astha tata, this is a very creative peace! I love your choice of colors and a hint of 'Japanese-ness' in the woman's face contours. More importantly, I could not agree more on how the frequency of witnessing 'co-incidence' in this era of internet is everything but a chance. Its fascinating how the world seems to get smaller with every new invention! What a privilege to live in a global village!Ilsa Brittain 26 Oct 2008
I love the sentiment of what you have written - I agree we live in a world where these chance encounters can reach across different worlds - nice to meet you! And I love this painting - it's great to see the texture coming through.
