this is what I had in mind when I saw this group of herons out fishing on the barrier reef rocks..they got pretty close up to 3 feet as I was sitting on a reef halfway in the water..but never actually came on the reefs..so I did a composite of one of them.

Beautiful job of combining photos. I wouldn't have guessed it if you didn't tell us. It's a perfect match. Great shot of the heron. Very well done.
