Backyard Turtle

I've had this turtle for around 10 years in my backyard..when it was given to me it's shell had been chewed up really bad..there'a a hole in its back and most of the edges are gone...But it loves it in my yard. I've seen it go out of the fence and come back later.

These turtles are so cool! Are theses wild or are they pets!.

Artist Reply: Well, the orange headed one isn't really a pet, but its not afraid and been in the back yard for a very long time. The others ones we'll have to see if they're here this spring

I've never seen a turtle with these lovely colors! I'm glad you keep him safe in your backyard, seems like he has some age on him. Hope he lives for many more years to come! :D

How neat that this wild creature chooses to stay in your yard... it must feel save there. Do you ever feed it? Lovely photo!

Artist Reply: She loves fruit..old bananas, apples, grapes, tomatoes, etc. I also have several other turtles too. Years ago we had baby turtles..now that was really neat
