This is one of the bridge's over Claude Monet's Water Lily Pond in Giverny, France. When my daughter & I were in Paris, France, we spent an afternoon at Claude Monet's house, gardens and water lily ponds in Giverny. I took lots of photos and have since painted many paintings using my photos. Did you know that Claude Monet created his water lily pond so that he could paint it?

I go purely by my imagination myself,...but I've always thought how much more detail I could put into my pictures if I were going by a live scene or photo. That's the hard part about trying to reproduce something or some place simply by memory,...you end up missing the details.
