Wonder what happened to the snake

At the tree at the end of my drive way I was surprised to find this snake skin hanging from a tree branch. I did a fast search around when seeing it needless to say

He might have shed on the tree branch and left his skin behind. My snake does that all the time....shed and leaves his skin on the brach....using the branch to take it off....Great photo Gerry

Artist Reply: This is the first time I have ever seen one on a tree branch like this usually they are on the ground. I am sure it was a long drop for this fellow/lady. but then maybe not from the length of the skin.
