Peering out the window of eternity, He is saddened by the things that he sees, Why can’t they believe in the beauty of forever, Why can’t they believe in me. Their doubt grows like autumn's leaves, Once green and lush, Now withering, rusty and dry, all around his window, He can hardly see the stars at all, Even though he can still hear them calling in the night, Why can’t they believe, The angels of earth have grown weary, of believing in miracles, walking on the earth as if they were mere men...
