Red Hot Poker

I was amazed to find the tiny ants in the image, this beautiful flower, the Red Hot Poker or Torch Lily, was photographed in my neighbours yard. Mission, B.C.

FABULOUS MACRO!

Artist Reply: I don't have a macro lens, I just use the telephoto, then blow it up until I am happy with the image. Thanks so much Emily.

I'm sitting here amazed by this flower, I have never seen it before. It looks like it's coming from a different planet. What a great variety there is in nature.

Artist Reply: I am pleased that I could show you something you hadn't seen before. Thanks so much for dropping by to comment Anneke.

WOW, PAMELA. WHAT A GREAT SHOT. IT'S FUNNY HOW WE SEE THINGS IN OUR PHOTO THAT WE DIDN'T SEE WHEN WE SHOT IT. WE MUST BE CONCENTRATING ON OTHER THINGS. :)

Artist Reply: Happens quite often to me. Thanks for commenting Sharon :)
