Elvis Journal

A handmade journal I made as a Birthday gift for a friend who is a huge Elvis fan. The image on cover was printed in blue tones and then backed on chipboard and covered with a few layers of a spay on glaze and then glued to the cover. The blue trimming around that is acrylic fabric paint that will protect the cut edges from moisture and peeling.

The spine is done in black satin ribbon and a Elvis ribbon that I found on sale. The cover is constructed in heavy chip board that is covered in light blue cotton fabric. The spine is glued on and reinforced by being punched and stiched to the cover boards. The interior pages are lignin and acid free parchment paper that is hand stiched and bound into six signatures that make up the book. The pages were printed with the lines and "King of Rock and Roll" at the top, front and back.
