Alexandria, Louisiana (2008)

I usually do not duplicate paintings, but the original was given to the out-going mayor of Alexandria as a gift. It was destined for the Department of Motor Vehicles building, so I painted a double. I guess a artist has the right to do a copy of his own works. At least this one will go in a public space as originally intended.

This was one is definitely worth repeating, David. I am glad it will be in a public place. It's cheerfulness and movement would definitely take the sting out of waiting in the renewal lines.
