Artist Reply: Jo Jo, Thank you for your kind feedback on my work. I really appreciate it. The question of "how long did it take?" is always the first question I am asked when I show my art. I believe they are trying to relate it to an hourly wage to place a value on the piece. The next question is always "what kind of wood is it made from?". In most cases they never heard of it. The following question is "how can you get such a realistic carving out of a piece of wood?" to which I always reply that "you should just keep carving the wood away till it looks like a bird then quit?" Artist Reply: Thanks Denny. I have visited your site and read many of your posts. It means a lot to get feedback from someone with your keen eye and dedication to art in various forms. It is fun to go from a block to 3D and then comes the painting and presentation challenges. I like being able to attempt several art forms in a single project.
