Male ruby throate hummer

It is very hard to capture the male hummer they only get one drink and off they go. The females will take in several drinks before they fly off. The females will trust you much more then the males.

I still have yet to capture a photo of a humming bird myself. Great photo, love it!

Artist Reply: Thanks so very much Karie I am blessed to have many changes to capture these beauties every summer.

I agree – it is hard to take picture of a hummingbird. We have some and it is looks like, all they do is fight, but they are so cute. Great shoot.

Artist Reply: Sometimes if you have just one feeder they do seem to fight all the time I find that putting several close by but yet far enough apart they don't have time to fight. Thank you for taken the time to look
