Dark Heart Bleaklands

After we forged the river, Pain Giver became reluctant to move forward, I had to use Some persuasive means to get him to do so. Not far in the moon cleared the clouds And the reason for my mounts reluctance soon became clear, as I could see the little Cannibals hiding behind every tree and bush. I hefted my ax, made ready to dispatch The little creeps. We have fought Wolf men, and creatures twice as mean as these little Asses. Then the moon went back into the clouds, and near total darkness set in again. I leaned forward in the saddle and whispered into Pain’s ear. We have to work on our Communications Pain. Then I gave him his rein and the last few miles of our trip was Lost in a blur of shadows and motion. We are awesome; we are bad, but in total Darkness we let the better part of valor rule, and ran
