Madeline's Lighthouse

This completion in Black & White is a variant of my acrylic painting and a digital reversal with color removal with the addition of some seagulls and details around the lighthouse done in art programming. This is named for my soon to be born granddaughter Madeline[due in July] & this version is painted and digitally painted differently, so I named it after my daughter's baby. I hope you like it . .......I also have a dozen .99 cent auctions still going on Ebay under my username 'avehurleyillustrations'should you like to take a peek- a few are tagged so can be found in their item search and once on any image you can check 'see sellers other items' to access the rest. Some of the favorite ones shown here are there for .99 so if you want any at a real bargain, there are a few days left! .......have a great week and THANKS for viewing my artwork here.. it means alot to me! GBU~! Ave

A magnificent capture of the power of the surf. The contrats are so strikingly awesome!

Artist Reply: Thankyou bobby~ i had actually repainted the water several times til it looked 'believable to me'Having been away from the oven so many years getting the angle right was a challenge. At ech stage of devel9pment however I kept an ary file so I have a few varieites of this particular painting were i changed the shoreline/cliffs and wave actions.later on the other versions I went back and altered the lighthouse tops and skies as well, so the project yielded one finished acrylic and several digital paintings as well.

BEAUTIFUL Brilliant Artistry,AVE!!!Superb brushwork and Creativity!!!Our Pic of The Day!!!Dee&David Jobes ,GBU!!!:):)

Artist Reply: Thanks Dee~! Finishing this version like this in mirror , helped me to do the final touches on the real painting. I had an art teacher once who always had us checkout our paintings in mirrors to see if them leaned to far one way or another or if they were out of proportion. I like with this software that I can take a digital pic of the painting and alter it in software to check it out and help decide on alterations and then to also have a printable picture like this as a bonus~ Have a great day! most awesome and totally beautiful AVE.

Artist Reply: Thankyou Joanna~ The water has been a real challenge in each version, but I think it is getting more believable in this version~ I am almost done with the colored acrylic, which has changes to the lighthouse as well as the waters. :) Ave

VERY SPECTACULAR IN MONOCHROME!

Artist Reply: Thankyou Emily~ I kinda like this version. Sort of reminds me of a 'where's waldo' however as I make changes in each version. This one has some seagulls too!~:) Ave

Very interesting work and exellent combination differents style!

Artist Reply: Thankyou Vladislav! I have been working on this painting in many ways the last few weeks. I have been changing the water mostly, but then I took out the color on this mirror image and digitally painted in the seagulls and some of the land around the lighthouse and a few other changes. I am pleased with this version ;) Ave

Beautiful style!

Artist Reply: Thankyou Andrew~ The water took me the longest as I had to keep changing the waves til they looked believable to me.
