Blue Mountain

This is the other side of the mountain in the Asian Landscape. This is the watery region where a large lake is nestled in between two rock formations. This area is more dangerous to the villagers so there is no human population, but mountain animals and aquatic creatures live in this treacherous mountain landscape. There are images of animal creatures imprinted on the mountain walls. It may be hard to see them like the blue owl on the top left above the rocky mountain. There are many images in this colorful and highly textured photograph associated with stories of an ancient culture. If you perceive any other images or signs of life, please share your observations. The interesting part of this image is that the bottom lake reflects the mountain above.

Gorgeous colours. Where in Asia did you shoot it?

Artist Reply: Cat. I paired this photo with Asian Mountain that is the title of the first piece. I like to use my imagination when I photograph painterly abstracts. I wish I was in Asia when I shot the photograph. As it says in Asian Landscape, I was actually in a State Park in Los Angeles.

Beautiful shot, love the way nature paints itself and haunts us with it's spirit.

Artist Reply: Thanks Christine for your wonderful comment. Nature does paintitself if we observe the colors and textures that create such beautiful imagery. It lends itself to the imagination, especially in this photo where the only lake to reflect the mountain is in my imagination. The grandeur of nature makes so many interpretations of amazing images possible facilitating the creative process.
