... Oliver 1655 with sub-soiler... early
Spring 2008. Although no-till
cultivation is now the norm almost
everywhere... every few years it's
necessary to run through the fields
with a long shank harrow to break up
the deeper hard pack.
I love this. You are SO talented with the watercolors!!! This one reminds me of the area I grew up in (farm country in VT- though the mountains were much closer together there). thanks for the trip down memory lane
beautiful watercolors and it's nice to learn a bit about farming...it reminds me that my food actually comes from a farm and not only from costco and safeway!
And you say it so well JM - - the strength created with this gentile tilt is inspiring artistically - the subtle brush from which flows an illy of such simple majesty in a life-style filled with daily love for the soil and creation - bewdy ~:0)
