Louis Pasteur (2008)

Louis Pasteur was the famous French microbiologist who established the germ theory. His pioneering work in vaccination lead the way for future developments. I have often used his saying that "la maladie n'est rien, l'hote est tout (the disease is nothing, the host is all)" on many occasions when dealing with patients and other physicians.

Wonderful portrait, David. I love how bold and generous you were with the paint. I can hardly wait to show my godson this painting. One of his favorite stories to have read to him is The Value of Believing In Yourself: The Tale of Louis Pasteur by Spencer Johnson,MD.
