Hi Nira....In a way this flower reminds me of some of your work.....Do you get inspirational ideas from the flowers you see? Really an unusual flower......like it a lot!

Artist Reply: Hello dear Thom..Very correct. Since I was a student, I studied to take inspiration from plants or flowers...to paint them , or make designs inspired by them (not only plants ) Not all designers, like to work with flowers or plants, a lot find it somehow difficult to deal with. Personally I always loved plant drawing, as the base..but even more inspired to do more things from it. YET..I must say I didn't do anything inspired by this unique flower...other then taking it's photos... and enjoy it's beauty. Good morning from Israel..another HOT day here...and Sleep well there. Intricacy of flower with those spoon like projection reminds me of a water wheel which it is as the water of life flows over it, taking that which is needed while letting go the excess. Perfect image to celebrate the beginning of Spring.
