Vanita with Crown

This is called, Vanita with Crown. The apple is the first sin, the scull is the death from the first sin, and the crown is Christ conquering death -and giving us the crown of life - notice the crosses. The flowers in the front are real. It's a shadowbox effect.

Wow! Quite an old tradition of painting here. Good for this time of year, Easter. If only you could paint in churches. Anyone know of church's that need murals from a Christian artist?
